but along the way we got to stop at several beautiful overlooks- and on a forest walk before we get to the actual river experience...
the group jet boat photo- taken before the windblown look we all acquired during the experience-
we headed back to town and Phil and I returned to the hotel while the rest of the group did their "dinner on your own" together with Mike (is it me or do the words dinner on your own mean something new these days???)
anyway we go off to Arrowtown with TB to a place called the Postmaster's Residence and have a lovely meal - with a Central Otago wine and while there Phil runs into a winemaker he met years ago in Oregon at the International Pinot Noir Celebration (IPNC) - the guy- Larry McKenna is from Escarpment Vineyards in Martinborough (near Wellington). He is in the south island to visit and this is his last day - LOL- small small world (aaaacccckkkk no not that song! please don't let it get stuck - na na na na, na na na na, hey hey GOODBYE!- anything to get rid of it!)
so tomorrow we get a new driver- Darryl arrives and we leave Q-town for new experiences! so stay tuned...
