already Wednesday

Went across the street for a quick lunch. Very good Mexican food. House made chips and guac along with other classic dishes. Menu marked with our selections. The glass skull is filled with hot sauce. Friendly owner made conversation in fluent American English (he's from Brooklyn) Located right across from the market (a mid century modern George Jetson style building). And again despite a horrible forecast we have midday sun and blue skies.

Tonight we had dinner at a nice enough place called Evita, strange service but decent food in a small restaurant.

so finally up to date after not posting for more than a week - and a busy week at that - more of course but tomorrow has laundry written on it and we need to eat some of the provisions we laid in...LOL so more cake for breakfast!

sun and rain

Although the forecast is for rain every day we do get periods of sun in between. We took that opportunity to go out to a new park, have coffee and I retraced my steps from yesterday to get some photos with blue skies!

It was Tuesday so Phil had class until 9:30 PM so we went for a later dinner a Miga nearby....
An excellent meal tonight after Phil finished his class. Our table wasn't quite ready when we arrived for our 10 pm reservation but once seated the dinner went smoothly with two excellent "off the menu" courses - one of oysters and Phil's main of beef cheeks with truffle. We loved the brioche with langostines (a shrimp version of lobster roll) and the oysters. Good desserts and a good wine served by a welcoming staff. Only drawback was the all stone building which created terrible acoustics given the raucous large party in the room next to us.

so the week is already zooming by - and we are catching up on paperwork and banking etc. while we are here before we head back to our place in Sevilla for our last guest and getting ready for summer away.
