I had to post this even though I haven't really started the blog on our three week trip to Peru and Ecuador- a bar and dance club in Cocoa in the Amazon- an oil boom town... the bridge behind was built by oil companies and was just opened last year- before that they were dependent upon a rickety old bridge to cross the Amazon -
and here by contrast was the bar car on the train we took to Machu Picchu- LOL
the world holds many contrasts- and so will the trip I am about to relate - so keep tuning in - as the journey unfolds...
