our friend Mon is a big deal in the Chicago chapter of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs and we were lucky enough to get a chance to join him for a sampling of the food for an upcoming Chaine meal at Cai, Chinese Seafood in Chinatown.
The food was exquisite- and I am just going into photos - first a set of various dim sum and then various dishes made from one huge giant King Crab (three courses) and some duck and some greens and excellent salt and pepper egg tofu and two very nice desserts!

So while we won't be in town when the Chaine has their fabulous meal at Cai- we did get a preview thanks to buds in high places!
