2024 DART drawing to a close

I feel like the pancake deserves a lead role on the final road day of the 2024 DART.  Before we left Provo we had a fabulous breakfast - and these were the highlights LOL

then on to another byway-  out of Price heading south to join up eventually with Intestate 70 toward Grand Junction and Colorado for our last night on the road...

our rest stop along the way....

prehistoric paintings

some gorgeous red rock canyons lined part of the drive

our car- in the photo - as usual never saw another car on the rooute.

love the reflection of the rock in the still pool of the creek....

taken from a higher point as we exited the redrock canyon part of our journey towards Colorado....

We avoided Interstates virtually the whole trip- heck we avoided paved roads for a lot of the trip- but here we are on I-70 heading east towards Palisade CO - our last night on the road...for the 2024 DART.

our final dinner on the road - at Fidel's - a real find - if you get to that part of CO - don't miss this one!

The next day we got up and skipped breakfast because then we could be back in Denver in time to Pick up Rose (TB's sweetheart) for lunch at:

Another great DART in the books (or it will be once I have finished editing photos and compiling the usual memorial album). As always, a great time with my long term buddy TB (nearing three decades of friendship and more than a quarter century of traveling together) we have seen a lot of disappearing America in our years of exploration.  :-)

Looking forward to as many more as health will let us have... Peru is a long time past but we still have a lot of great memories made between then and now- and speaking of long long ago and far far away-

here are a few photos - in the pre digital days when we dragged cameras and film with us----LOL

we have been having fun and making memories for a long time now.... Here's to many more!
