a Dublin walk

So on our first morning in Dublin we headed out after an early (for us) breakfast (full Irish - LOL) to walk towards the north end of O'Connell Street from St. Stephen's Green and Grafton Street... we took our time and made a few detours along the Temple Bar area and the Ha' Penny Bridge and another market area north of the River Liffey... ultimately ending up at the Writer's Museum in Parnell Square area...

a little building right next to the hotel - it was once a customs house-

beautiful flowers for sale on Grafton Street even at 9 in the morning!

heading into the Temple Bar area-

crossing the River Liffey - a view of the Ha' Penny Bridge (pedestrian) - it once had a ha' penny toll-

streets north of the river and around the famous Post Office- site of the Easter Rebellion in 1916...

a local market near the PO-

gotta love the Irish sense of humor- LOL- meat hung to perfection!

hmmm- which new potatoes do you think folks are buying????

an Asian fishmonger had lots of fish heads available-

at the top of O'Connell street heading into Parnell Square-

then on to lunch-

and by the time we finished lunch it was time to meet up with cousin Iddo and his mom Sarah for the remainder of the day....

up next a day around Dublin on the hop on hop off bus...
