Jeremy arrives

Lunch outside with Phil and Larry. We saw a place known for their pinsa (a Roman specialty we learned about in Valencia last spring) The flat bread with pizza style toppings was our regular Tuesday night dinner when in Valencia because Phil was in class until around 9:40 and the place was open late. So to make a short story long, we were thrilled to find pinsa in walking distance from our rental flat. We had two pinsas and Larry had the pasta. The boys shared some para picar style appetizers. I had a burrata salad. All great but the service was even better. We will return before we leave here.

we did a bit of neighborhood exploration, Larry had been out for a long walk early in the morning but he and Phil headed out for an afternoon walk - Jeremy is expected late tonight - arriving at the far airport at the south end of the island - we hope to see him in time for a late dinner.

our plaza (Isla de Madera)

dinner - Jeremy just made it- some issues with the bus from the airport delayed him -

Three of the four of us slept late and went for lunch at a Venezuelan place in the city center-  Larry was up early for coffee and pastries and a walk- LOL

Lunch today with Larry and Jeremy and Phil, the family Friedman, at a Venezuelan place. Great combo platter to share as starters and excellent cachapas were had by all. After lunch "digestive" was found to be drinkable by 75% of the table.

Then the boys went out exploring and I went back to the apartment to watch my Northwestern class on Zoom.

Dinner that night was a farewell to Larry - as he has an early morning flight to Barcelona... and then on to Miami...Larry's farewell dinner tonight at a really lovely seafood place in the historic old town.  We had fabulous service and food, so a great all around dinner for the four of us.

The walk home-
