we share

Dinner three in Barcelona. An excellent choice for "Al a carte" dining. Compartir is the standard way of dining for the locals in Spain. Many menus have sections under the heading "Compartir es Vivir" (to share is to live). The ordering of dinner here is an exercise in negotiation - six diners with various food preferences must navigate to a final selection of dishes for the evening. I have to say we did really well. I wouldn't have chosen sardines over anchovies but that course was excellent. I thought the razor clams were the winning dish and so much better than any other razor clams preparations I had before, that they left the prior dishes in the dust. An excellent Arroz ended the main meal which then went into a slimmed down dessert order of two single dishes to share. All details of the ordering included on the menus with red dots.

Another Lovely evening. But we were all more than full! We vowed to have the smaller menus and pairings for the next night... best laid plans... LOL
